The tools come with illustrtated instructions showinhg how to use them to disconnect the lines from the filter. You will need some special disconnect tools to detach the lines from the filter these tools are available from the same parts store that sells the filter. If you follow the fuel line from the engine back towards the tank, you will find it attaches to the outlet side of the fuel filter. The fuel filter is located on a bracket along side of the fuel tank in the rear of the vehicle. The electrical connector is located on the LH frame rail under the driver side door area.
To do this, you will need to disable the fuel pump by disconnecting the harness connector that feeds power to the pump, and then start the engine and allow it to run untill it stalls from lack of fuel. The fuel system is under high pressure on your Expedition, so the first step is to relieve the internal pressure so that fuel does not spray out violently wne the fuel filter is removed.
